Another etching, finished this last week.

I always enjoy having these 19th century inspired motifs in my etchings as the technique was commonly used by illustrators during that time.
I chose to work with Nikola Tesla in this piece due to the mystique behind his inventions, most of which were lost in a mysterious fire that destroyed his entire laboratory.
Here he is shown enjoying a good read under the light of his transformer circuit.

Ok Tesla= so totally cool. Did you do this with pen? It came out so wel, I really like the streak marks in the blackness, makes it look like the light is pushing through everywhere. And Tesla, so calm just readin' his book underneath his giant lightning machine. Haha. Totally fantastic.
